Pelican State is the solo project of Constant van Graan, who gained prominence in the 2015 Afrivisie Competition. Since then, his songs have been heard on South African television and Japanese indie radio stations, and his songs ‘Downstream’ and ‘Imaginary Stones’ have been heeded by two of the biggest global song writing competitions. His music is a blend of ambient acoustic sounds and alternative rock. He is supported by his two session artists – guitarist André Huyser and contemporary musician Andri.
