Episode 35: L.A. Women

In my opinion, this was the first episode cover art that showcased a a bit of creativity (for me anyway). Since the episode's title, "L.A. Women," was a nod to The Doors' album, "L.A. Woman," I aimed to capture the stylistic design of The Doors' original album cover, as seen below.

The tricky part was finding a font similar to the one used on a 1971 album before modern-day computer typography came into play. I also tried to mimic the "black and white" (or black and yellow?) vibe of the band's album by converting a picture of Alex Moore (from the L.A.-based band Livingmore) to black and white, cranking up the contrast, and increasing the transparency.
